Tech Byte: A Critical GM High-Feature V6 Tip You Need to Know!

🛑 V6 Oil Pump Warning:

Don’t Touch These Bolts! Don’t let one mistake give you low oil pressure! 📉

When replacing the timing guide on a GM High-Feature V6, the guide is mounted directly to the oil pump. Removing those oil pump assembly bolts can disrupt the factory clamp load and ruin your engine’s oil pressure.

The Fix:

• Only replace the nylon contact pad.

• Leave the oil pump mounting bolts alone!
